The short version: we never store your chats. Not the file, not the messages, not the report.

What happens to your chat

When you drop a WhatsApp export on the page, it is opened and read inside your browser. The numbers page is calculated on your device. Nothing has been sent anywhere at that point.

When you tap the roast button, the text of the chat is sent once to our server, which sends it to an AI model to write the report. The text is held in memory only for as long as it takes to write the report and is then discarded. We do not write chats or reports to any database or log.

The AI provider we use is Anthropic. Under their API terms, data sent through the API is not used to train their models.

What we do keep

If you sign in with Google, we keep your Google account id, name and email so we can count your free roast and any Reality Checks you buy. We keep counters: how many roasts an account has run, how many credits it has, and which codes it has used. We also keep simple product event counts, such as how many roasts were run on a given day, with no content attached.

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how many people visit and from which countries. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.

Payments

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record. We never see your card number. Lemon Squeezy sends us an order id and the product bought so we can add credits to your account.

Other people in your chat

Your chat contains messages from other people. You are responsible for making sure you are comfortable analysing them. Because we do not store the chat, their messages are not kept by us either.

Deleting your account

Email us and we will delete your account record and counters. Since chats and reports are never stored, there is nothing else to delete.
